Just installed Sliding Door at http://linwoodpark.org/home/, created pages, set featured images ... when I click on Appearance > Theme Options, I get the following error message,
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_theme() in /home/linwoodo/public_html/home/wp-content/themes/sliding-door/theme-options.php on line 33"
How do I fix this? (note: I can barely spell "php")

It could be that you are running an older WordPress version on your site??
If so try updating WordPress.

I had the same error, and found that upgrading to the lateset WP fixed that.
NOTE: That to upgrade to the lateset WP if you are with 1and1, you have got to disable ALL addons to get it done. You can always re-enable them later. (Backup that db!)
