Ok, so I have read and re-read many times. I loaded up more than 7 pages and only 4 have text on them and link to pages. Also, I have changed the pages around. How do I change the text in the photos and redirect the links without changing my pages. I like the order of my pages in the left column but I want the order of the sliding photos to be different and I want to be able to link them to specific pages, even though they are in a different order than on the left column. How do I do this. Also, what is the admin panel? I have not been able to find where to change the link of the sliding photos. In summary, I want the order and titles of my pages to be different than the order and titles of my sliding pictures, but I do want to link my 7 photos to 7 of my pages. Can you give me some direction?

Hi Wayne,

Thank yo so much for your Picture-perfect Theme. I love these sliding doors, thus I am facing a real issue when it comes to change the names and URLs of those doors.
1. I have installed the latest version of your theme and I had my pages built prior to install it
2. Only 4 categories are showing
3. There is no field to change the URL in the Admin of my pages, even if I create new pages.
4. I have read your entire FAQ, but haven't found any place in your theme css to overwrite the default URLs.
I am really desperate to find the answer to my problem and this is the reason I am sending you this message.
Your help would be greatly appreciated. My site is there:

I'm trying to figure out how to change one of the sliders to link to a category, but when I go to edit the page, there isn't anything that allows me to change to "page links to," as you stated above... It only allows me to change the permalinks structure for all of them at once? Any ideas?

Regarding the problem that the presence of subpages makes some top-level pages disappear in the heading: the problem seems to be this line towards the bottom of header.php:
Code: Select all
<?php slider_menuparse(wp_list_pages('sort_column=ID&depth=1&number=7&title_li=&echo=0')); ?>

By specifying number=7, only the first 7 pages will be looked at, even if they are not all top-level pages (depth=1). Remove the &number=7 text, and ALL top-level pages will be shown. Provided you have exactly 7 top-level pages, then the behavior will be as you wish.

Note also that changing ID to menu_order will sort the pages in menu order, using the Order attribute of the page. So the new code in header.php would be:
Code: Select all
<?php slider_menuparse(wp_list_pages('sort_column=menu_order&depth=1&title_li=&echo=0')); ?>

Wayne, I have a question but was not able to find it in the forum, and when I typed in "change background color to image" in the search, it gave me a response saying that all those words are too common... hmmm.

so my question is, is there a way to change the background color on my blog to an image file... right now, the background color is a light grey, but I wanted to change it to an image to give it a little more texture. I was thinking an image of rough concrete or something like that, as my site is an architecture portfolio.

the url of my site now is

thanks so much!

hi there... im pretty good in working with wordpress, but i really dont understand where to edit the urls in the latest version O.o

i have an existing blog, where all links and pages are still there and now would like to chance the theme...

you wrote

2. Go to the first 'page' and in the page links to section down the bottom paste in this from above url.

where i should go to "first page"? do you mean the links section (Dashboard, Article, Mediathek, LINKS, Pages, Comments as it looks like for me on the left side of wordpress admin area) or the Pages?

both doesnt seems like what you explained... the LINKS are NOT shown on the sliders... so i think the LINKS are the wrong place to chance... the sliders show the PAGES with the IDs (Page 3, Page 6, Page 9.......)

So firstly i want to chance the first slider to "HOME" >>URL how i do that, if i am not allowed to write it into the header?

and secondly i want to make my own selection (Page 12, Page3, Page 54....) you know what i mean?

it would be great if you have some screenshots step by step WHERE EXACTLY you chance this links, because it seems like i am not the only one who still have problems with that...

thanks a lot!

EDIT: Okay, i found that "page links to" thing... so i made now a PAGE with HOME and an extra link with "page links to"... but now still my Q is how i can mix the Pages so they are not 1,2,3... i want 4,8,1,9....
