Hi,

I love the look of the theme, but I have had some problems getting it to work right. I read the FAQ and other users' replies, but it hasn't helped me to correct the issue. When I activated the theme, it only linked up the first 5 pages. Some of the other pages were subrooted. I fixed the pages so that not only do I have the pages automatically routing to the categories I actually want the photos to link to, but also numbered so that the theme picks up the right page in the right order.

It still didn't register the other 2 pages. I changed to my old theme, updated a couple of things and changed it back. It still didn't work. I deleted the theme entirely, then re-installed it and activated it. Well, it took off my old pictures, but still left me with the last 2 not linking. Please help.

This is not a good place to post questions if you want them answered!
Post them in the actual discussion section -you'll notice most of the questions there get answered.

Just introduced to Wordpress, and really liking your Sliding Doors theme. Offers a lot of room for fun. One thing I cannot figure out, however, is how to rotate the text in the slider images from horizontal to vertical (bottom to top). I'm using the CSS editor as you suggested, and I'm glad it's relatively a simple file, but where/how do I change the font direction?

Thanks!!

Because of the potential havoc, I've choose to contact you with my query. Sitting in limbo at bobxl.com.

I already know how to change the pictures and labels for the sliders, but I do not want them to link to another page. I want them to be static.

You can go round and round in circles reading the FAQ'a and 'Read This'.

Fact is - the logic in one of the files is corrupt. In the themes directort - picture-perfect or sliding doors .. open or edit functions.php at this stage

function slider_menuparse($input) {
$output = preg_replace("'page-item-\d+'", 'page-item-11', $input, -1, $count);
$numberÊ=Ê0;

if ($count < 4)
echo '<!-- default links - these are not used if you have your own pages-->

<li class="bk1"><a href="http://mac-host.com/install.html">About</a></li>
<li class="bk2"><a href="http://mac-host.com/install.html">Weddings</a></li>
<li class="bk3"><a href="http://mac-host.com/support">Places</a></li>
<li class="bk4"><a href="http://mac-host.com/install.html">Food</a></li>
<li class="bk5"><a href="http://dubbo.org">People</a></li>
<li class="bk6"><a href="http://macintoshhowto.com">Nature</a></li>
<li class="bk7"><a href="http://7.barracks.cl">Architecture</a></li>
';
else {

Change all the URLs and image text here, to your own URLs and text.

EG - In your browser, at your site click on one of your categories (first one) copy the url, which will be like ..

http://www.esexyplussizecostumes.com/?cat=16

In the functions file highlight http://mac-host.com/install.html and control v (paste) your url.

Change 'About' to your own text ..

Repeat for the other items.

Hi. My name is Teresa. I am an editor for http://www.wikihow.com. If you would like to see some of the articles that I have written, you can go to http://www.wikihow.com/user:ttrimm

What I wanted to ask is that recently I began using WordPress. I like to take photographs and have been trying to figure out how to make a photoblog. I would like to know that if I am going to write how to make a Photoblog with WordPress, should I make it plugin specific?? I thought, with you knowing more about WP, you might be able to tell me.

Thank you!!!

This is true there are some corrupted characters in the latest theme 1.8.X

This is fixed in 2.0 but it's been held up at wordpress.org

In the meantime can get it here:

theme/slidingdoor.zip

Cannot do except by putting text in the actual image and then making the real text invisible.
