hi there, im really loving this theme, appreciated, but i am having a small issue on editing the url links in the slding menu..

i have created a new menu, added 7 pages, but do not see the dropdown that you stated in the following

"3. A new dropdown will appear on the left called 'Sliding Navigation' Select your new menu here."

i have saved everything i have done, logged out, logged back in to see if refreshing would make it appear but to no avail...

appreciate your time

Marc :)

i create a new menĂ¹.
i select it in Sliding Navigation.
I create 4 categories (and add 4 posts, 1 for category) and 3 static pages.
I create 7 logos. and associated anyone with any pages or posts.
in sliding I see only the pages-logo, but don't see the category-logo. if i click on blank image (its black) i go in the category selected correctly.
what happen?

hi, great post. I hope my vocabulary is correct.

I want to create posts, and have the post category when i write it, then make it fall under a specific slider.
For example, If I write a post about "concert photography", i will tag it and categorize it "music". I have my first slider a page called music where I want all those posts to go.
then I write about the beach shots I took, I want to again, place it in its respective category. It will show up on the newsfeed (blog) but, if someone clicks on the slider for music, the posts I wrote about music and concert photography will all be nestled there under music and the beach shots will be under that category.
I figured this was possible so I set up 7 parent categories, with numerous sub, child categories so they format would be ther, but so far, no luck...

is this possible. I am sorry If this has been covered but I have not been able to find it.

Thanks for everything you have already done
respectfully, Scott

Hi Wayne *,

Keep going until you have done all 7 sliders. Note you may choose to have all 7 sliders point to 7 pages, you may choose to have them point to 7 categories, you may choose to have them point to 7 external websites, a comments page, your admin page, anything, and you can mix them all up. That's the beauty of the new version of the theme. And all this without editing any php.

I inherit a blog ... http://www.pscales.info/wordpress/
I think the creator of the blog didn't read the "read this first" ... ;-)

I must change the links from the slides. ... Most of them are leading to "mac-host/support"

I saw, that the links don't have nothing to do with the pictures ...
I just looked in the header.php ... but couldn't find the links ;-) :-(

Is it possible to change these links?
If yes ... how?

sorry for bsE
Best regards from Germany

Manfred

Hey, i need your help..why is it that i can not see or find half of the options that you talk about. for example below....

How do I change the home page to be just a home page and not my latest blog entries

This is a wordpress question, you can find the answer at wordpress.org, but basically, in the back end go to Settings - Reading and the first option is Front Page Displays... Change it from Your Latest Posts to A Static Page.

I do not have this option to turn it onto a static page... please can you help. Im not good with CSS so the easiest options and alternatives are best for me

thanks
(ps love the theme)

I used your plugin in one of my site and it works very well. But I m having problem in putting two sliders on the same page. Can you help in this?
I have used the following code to put more than one sliders on the same page.

Code: Select all
<div id="imageMenu1" class="imageMenu">
            <?php
            $walker = new My_Walker;
            wp_nav_menu( array(
            'theme_location' => 'custom-sliding-menu',
            'fallback_cb' => 'no_sliding_menu',
            'container' => '',
            'container_class' =>'',
            'container_id' =>'',
            'menu_class' =>'',
            'menu_id' =>'',
            'depth' => '1',
            'walker' => $walker
            )
            ); ?>

         </div>

<script type="text/javascript">

         window.addEvent('domready', function(){
            var myMenu1 = new ImageMenu($$('#imageMenu1 a'),{openWidth:310, border:2, onOpen:function(e,i){location=(e);}});
         });
      </script>

<div id="imageMenu2" class="imageMenu">
            <?php
            $walker = new My_Walker;
            wp_nav_menu( array(
            'theme_location' => 'custom-sliding-menu',
            'fallback_cb' => 'no_sliding_menu',
            'container' => '',
            'container_class' =>'',
            'container_id' =>'',
            'menu_class' =>'',
            'menu_id' =>'',
            'depth' => '1',
            'walker' => $walker
            )
            ); ?>

         </div>

<script type="text/javascript">

         window.addEvent('domready', function(){
            var myMenu2 = new ImageMenu($$('#imageMenu2 a'),{openWidth:310, border:2, onOpen:function(e,i){location=(e);}});
