Making your sliding door stay open on the page

It took months of digging - but I finally pieced together the 2 steps for making the slider image stay open on the page you clicked on.

Edit the header.php file and change this (located near bottom of page)
window.addEvent('domready', function(){
var myMenu = new ImageMenu($$('#imageMenu a'),{openWidth:320, border:2, onOpen:function(e,i){location=(e);}});

to this
window.addEvent('domready', function(){
var myMenu = new ImageMenu($$('#imageMenu a'),{openWidth:320, border:2, open:<?= $post->menu_order ?>, onOpen:function(e,i){location=(e);}});

===========
Edit your imageMenu.js from this: if(this.options.open){,
to this: if(this.options.open!=null){
===================

Thats it...
Thanks in part to http://www.elshaddai-edwards.com/2009/0 ... nu-script/
And to the word press documentation.

Gill, thanks for sharing!

I followed the instructions but only the first image stays open on every page.

Did anyone else experience this problem and/or knows how to correct this?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Make sure your pages are "ordered".
when you edit a page, you can assign the order. Use 0 thru 7

Help? I linked some of my sliding door images to category pages and now those sliding door images do not stay open on the category pages that they are linked to.

Does anyone out there know what I can do to rectify this?

Thanks!

Hi everybody,

I followed the instructions (header.php and imageMenu.js) and I "ordered" my pages from 1 to 7.
The menu image of the first page allways stays open. The others never stay open.

I work on the last version of Wordrpress.

Can anyone help me ?

Thanks from France

Hi, I followed the two instructions and the first image opens and stays open but only if my mouse goes over the image. If there a way for the first door to be open and stay open as soon as you arrive at my site?

check out my site to see what I mean www.efconsulting.ca

Thanks,
Edmond

Somehow I cannot get this to work properly. I think I changed both files correctly and numbered my pages iin the correct order.
The problem is, that now the images don´t slide anymore. Never, not on mouseover or else.
I reckon I did the part that involves changing the imageMenu.js wrong. I´m using the current version of Wordpress: 3.3.1
Could anyone help please?

Absolutely BRILLIANT, Bill.

Thanks so much. I don't know if I ever would have figured it out myself, but this works great!
