This is a rough guide that I hope will help others getting the sliding doors to work for pages, if there are any glaring errors please let me know and I will try and correct them :D

I will assume you have your 320 x 200 pixel sized images ready on your computer

To upload and set as featured image:

1.
Image

2. Navigate to file on your computer and upload
Image

3. Click "show"
Image

4. Which brings up this page and click on "Use as featured image"
Image

To create Sliding Door menu so they link to pages
(categories is more difficult )

5. Select "Menus"
Image

6. You may not need to 1. click on the plus sign - I was not going to delete mine to find out :)
Enter your menu name and click on the top "create menu"
Image

7. Select the seven (or however many pages) you wish to link to in your Sliding Doors, click "Add to Menu"
Image

8. Click and drag mouse to move them into your preferred order and click lower "Save Menu"
Image

9. Click the Sliding Door dropdown list and select your menu name and then "Save"
Image

You can now uncross your fingers and hope it works

I got the pictures up but the doors don't slide like on the template. What could be wrong?
My site is www.goeatgive.com

I got my pictures up, but 5 of the 7 are linked to this forum address. Can someone please tell me how to change the links? I have no clue how! Thanks so much! :)

Have followed your pictorial guide to getting new pictures in the sliding door theme but my 7 sliders are blank and when I click on one it shows the page below. Where am I going wrong? I have my pictures in a nextgen gallery. :)

I had the exact same thing happen to me... but then someone told me that I have to upload my photos in another place. I found out that you have to upload them into your FTP account (if you have that) and it's super easy, my pictures are all up and working now. You just replace your pictures with the default ones in the back server.

My issue now is that they are all linked to this forum and I don't know how to change the URL... where to find the coding to change the URLs I should say. Anyone know?

And I hope my above explanation of pics was helpful to you. Try that and you should be very pleased! Don't know where they will direct though (The URLs behind them). Let me know. :)

Goeat - no idea, a script error does come up on your site and it froze my machine so will not be re-visiting to see if I can work it out :D

mpfmd - I dont' know what a nextgen gallery is - you might need to link to them with a url or reupload them from your computer as per above instructions ?

I am just a user of this theme, not an expert and I just took screenshots, in order, of what worked for me so assumed it would also work for others as it follows the general instructions given by Wayne in the documentation that comes with the theme.

I have followed these instructions but still can't get...

1) the pictures to slide (they are all static images)
2) the home button sider (where the heck does it go?)

Have a look www.goeatgive.com

Wayne, where are you?

Hi thanks for the pictures and code help, I got it to work on my site but it did take a few tries, wish all of this was easier but that wouldn't be any fun would it?

Like I said it does work for me, and if you just take your time, it should work for you as well.
