Contact Forms

Postby Batia » Fri Sep 02, 2011 2:43 am

Hello Again,

I'm new to Sliding Door, and I've been messing around trying different contact forms to find one that looks great with this theme. I want to be able to add a field for Phone, Website URL, and Message. What's the best plugin for that? Thanks, Batia

I like Cforms...I use it for very complicated forms but it works for simple ones too and also keeps a record of your submission on the website and available for export. there are several CSS styles that come with it and you can always modify any of them to suit your style.

I'm using Fast Secure Contact form across multiple sites. When I installed Sliding Door on one site, I noticed that the contact form email address field had a white background (useless for white text), so had to make one change in style.css:

FROM

input[type="text"],
textarea {
background: #333;
border: 1px solid #ccc;
box-shadow: inset 1px 1px 1px rgba(0,0,0,0.1);
-moz-box-shadow: inset 1px 1px 1px rgba(0,0,0,0.1);
-webkit-box-shadow: inset 1px 1px 1px rgba(0,0,0,0.1);
padding: 2px;
}

TO

input[type="text"], input[type="email"],
textarea {
background: #333;
border: 1px solid #ccc;
box-shadow: inset 1px 1px 1px rgba(0,0,0,0.1);
-moz-box-shadow: inset 1px 1px 1px rgba(0,0,0,0.1);
-webkit-box-shadow: inset 1px 1px 1px rgba(0,0,0,0.1);
padding: 2px;
}

It seems to work OK.
