Sliding Navigation links makes blank images

Postby aton.ca » Wed Mar 21, 2012 12:38 am

I have a big problem

I have set image of "sliding navigation as DESCRIPTED in the FAQ.

"How do I change the URL that the sliding doors link to?

VERSION 2.6 and later: THE MENU'S ARE NOW SET UP USING THE BUILT-IN CUSTOM MENUS

1. Go into Appearance - Menus
2. Create a New menu and add 7 Pages to it.
3. A new dropdown will appear on the left called 'Sliding Navigation' Select your new menu here."

But if i active menu with new links disappear any image (link is ok to new address, but all image are black).

If i deactive 'Sliding Navigation' of new menu link re-appear all images.

What is the problem and how can i resolve?

Thank you for your help and your work

great template

Not sure what the problem is. I would check- On Appearance= Menu page, there should be two tabs as top, main nav and sliding nav, open sliding nav and go to one of the pages, go to edit page, is there a featured image set in the lower right, you should see the image. Is it sized properly?

Not sure. Did you set the second window on left side of menu page as sliding navigation and hit save? Are your links to pages, not categories? maybe your web address may help. It seems you don't have pics attached.

Yes i think so.

In the second window on left side of menu page i set so:

URL (with the link to page)

LABEL (WITH THE LINK of the image)

is it correct or wrong?

Same problem here! It does work with pages too, right? I assume it has something to do with the formatting options in the "featured image" upload dialog. But I can't figure it out either..sadly..

I wish I could help more. I will get a link to a few screen captures, maybe that will help. Post in the morning. I remember I had to add a plug-in for something. I will do it in the morning.

hey krickets thank you so much. The plugin is just a shortcut for the url linking. I doubt that it has an impact on the picture itself. But I'm not sure. Sweeet drerams! :D

Here is a screen shot of my menu page. Make sure the list is pages, not categories. I think the first is a category by default, just leave it until you figure it out,

krickets you are very gentleman.

My menu page is identical to yours.

I don 't know what means " I think the first is a category by default, just leave it until you figure it out"

i have not any category on default . I must add all pages link.

If i leave original links image show normally (but links to original address of mac-host.com) , if i change menu links to my new pages but images don 't show.

But can i try to change link manually in css?

Where is phisical link in css? So i can try to change there?
