Custom Text

Postby dfwhip » Wed Jun 20, 2012 7:04 pm

I'm trying to add custum text, mainly for color and size control. I'm able to change it in the html editor for wordpress, but it changes it back to the defaults automatically. What is the code and what file would I need to create a custom text?

Website is www.assimilationdesignlab.com for reference.

it depends on where your talking about if its the header or other parts a page that can be tricky. I use sliding doors not picture perfect. For sliding doors I downloaded a fire fox app called firebug found out what file on the page had the CSS that ruled the header and went into the file and manually changed it.

I use filezilla to access the file over ftp then eclipse to edite it. Your going to need some form of reference on css code to achieve this.

If its not the header then just make sure you don't switch back to visual editor from manual editor when you make your changes. At the very minimum not until you update your page.

Thanks. I was able to find the location in the css file. Just needed to get the right line of code, which I managed to do.
