Hi all,

Two issues:
1. I want to show excerpts on my posts page (It is not my home page. I have a separate static home page). Don't know how to do this with Sliding Door.
2. I can't get rid of the sidebars on my posts page. When I change Page Attributes to "one column, no sidebar" I still get two sidebars.

Probably beginner issues, but golly, I just can't figure it out. THANK YOU for your help.

Wow, it's been over 2 months and no response...
This really bums me out because I love the theme.
Can anyone help me?

1.This can be done by editing loop.php (or adding to your child theme loop). Under * How to display all other posts. * replace this code:
Code: Select all
<?php if ( is_archive() || is_search() ) : // Only display excerpts for archives and search. ?>

Code: Select all
<?php if ( is_archive() || is_search() || is_home() ) : // Only display excerpts for archives, search and home page. ?>

I add the comment part to remind myself what it does.

2. If you want a post page to just show the content with zero sidebars edit post.php with this
Code: Select all
get_header(); ?>
<?php //get_sidebar(); ?>

      <div id="container" class="one-column">

The // just comments out the sidebar and the class uses the one-column template.

Let me know if this doesn't work but I was able to recreate what you wanted on a localhost version of my site and had no issues with the changes.
