Linking the header for Sliding Door

Hi fellow sliding Door users. I have inserted a custom graphic header on my page and would like to link it to my homepage. Does anybody know how to do this? Here is what the code looks like under edit themes:

<body <?php body_class(); ?>>
<div id="wrapper" class="hfeed">
<div id="header">
<div id="masthead">
<div id="branding" role="banner">

<?php $heading_tag = ( is_home() || is_front_page() ) ? 'h1' : 'div'; ?>
<<?php echo $heading_tag; ?> id="site-title">
<span>
<div align="center"><img src="http://bombshellshirts.net/wp-content/themes/sliding-door/images/New Header.png" width="940" height="160"></div>
</span>
</<?php echo $heading_tag; ?>>
<div id="site-description"><?php bloginfo( 'description' ); ?></div>

If I'm not mistaken I need to now insert: <a href=http://bombshellshirts.net"> but I am not sure where. I have tried a few different locations within the code and I can get it to link, but it collapses the slider like an accordion.

My site is: http://www.bombshellshirts.net

Thanks, and btw has anyone else noticed that the forum is not searchable? Or is it just me?

Ahhh . . .
So I found the fix. I browsed the sample/showcase sites and from this site: http://jordanrivercommission.com I viewed inspect element and changed the code accordingly:

<?php $heading_tag = ( is_home() || is_front_page() ) ? 'h1' : 'div'; ?>
<<?php echo $heading_tag; ?> id="site-title">
<span>
<a href="/">
<div align="center"><img src="http://bombshellshirts.net/wp-content/themes/sliding-door/images/New Header.png" width="940" height="160"></a></div>
</span>
</<?php echo $heading_tag; ?>>
<div id="site-description"><?php bloginfo( 'description' ); ?></div>
