place widgets outside container

I like the theme, but i want to use it as single column, otherwise the writing space is too small, and it looks weird (specially with pictures). But i want to place widgets on the top right (Search and Social media). I tried to figure out how i can place them outside the container, on top the background picture, and have it there fixed, so it stays in place if i scroll down. I couldn't even manage to get it there. Im pretty new to CSS and would be really thankful for help, thanks.
here is the link:

and i would like to have the "search", and Facebook on the right top where the clouds are now, and then make it single column to have the text wider like here:

It's pretty complicated to go messing around with themes, my suggestion would be to find a theme that is closer to what you want it to do. It takes hours to mess around with the theme and then tweak it and get it all looking how you want it to.
If you want to pursue that option though, I'd suggest you find a theme that does what you want and then look at the code and see if you can somehow merge it in. That's not a simple thing to do.
