Wayne,

Was just wandering whether I can change the title at the side of the slide in WordPress?

Thanks & Regards,
Eric

Hi Wayne,

Thanks for the reply. Last time someone I know, taught me how to do it. But that person has been quite busy this days. That is why I am asking how to do it.

Thanks & Regards,
Eric

How can I delete the timestamp information from the posts?

This question is answered here.

This Link goes no where I updated the theme and it removed this function. Can you please tell me how I can remove the "Author and Time Stamp" please?

Version 3.0.8 - 2 columns layout "side bar on the left"

Okay... just registered my a/c here to post up solution for those who wanted to have this as solution - 2 columns; left side bar! Helping my wife to fix her website and came across this problem. Solution posted on pg.1 might only work on earlier version (pre 3) maybe. I did not keep track of this so that I had no idea since which version the solution started helpless.

Anyway... wife's website started with 3.0 then upgraded to 3.0.2 for a while without touching for weeks until I decided to update it to 3.0.8 (current as of today). Due to the fact that custom style.css gets overriden everytime when the theme gets updated so I decided to implement child theme. So, changes that I provide below is the style.css as child theme (IT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL style.css).

- please note; @import url applies to my server setting; thus it might not be the same as yours
- this is a style.css in child theme; original style.css still retains its original version in the original install directory
- I state again here; this proposed changes required to implement child them

Code: Select all
/*
    Theme Name: Sliding Door Child
    Description: Child theme for the sliding-door theme
    Author: STi
    Template: sliding-door
*/

@import url("../sliding-door/style.css");

#wrapper {
   margin-top: 20px;
   padding: 0 20px;
}

#content {
   width: 670px;
}

#comments, #content p {
   clear: both;
   overflow: hidden;
}

#content p,#content ul,#content ol,#content dd,#content pre,#content hr {
   margin-bottom: 12px;
   font-family: "Century Gothic",Verdana,Helvetica,Sans-serif;
}

I used this in my child theme to get a 2 column page. That worked fine, but now my images stay small 500PX. How can I change that?
They should be 720 like the content.

#wrapper {
margin-top: 20px;
padding: 0 20px;
}

#content {
width: 720px;
}

#comments, #content p {
clear: both;
overflow: hidden;
}

#content p,#content ul,#content ol,#content dd,#content pre,#content hr {
margin-bottom: 12px;
font-family: "Century Gothic",Verdana,Helvetica,Sans-serif;
}

I added this in the child theme, but it does not help:

#content img {
height: auto;
max-width: 720px;
margin-top: 0;
margin-right: 0;
margin-bottom: 0;
}
