well I must be getting closer...
coz now I can see them
but they are on the bottom of the page like you said mbe..
OYE - very time consuming it is!

I actually used Wayne's explanation - much easier for my purposes.

It worked right away - except my widgets were at the bottom of the page on every page/post except the front page.

My blog is page/catergory based using category permalinks - so it was confusing me.
So I needed to make sure you move the get sidebar in the page.php like mbe stated - but also in catergory.php too - then it worked on all pages!

Once that was done... all I really need to do was fix your margins and contents/post maximum width and it was all good!
