Add buttons to the opening slider images

Postby Lotous » Thu May 03, 2012 11:20 am

Hi to all,

Thanks for great theme, I 've customized it a little bit and very pleased.

Now I came up with the Idea that I'd like to have a transparent sexy buttons (links) to specific pages.

They are to be opened when one hover the image it opens and to the right side ON it several vertical boxes appear which direct user to specific page.

E.g. Slider Image -> About. Opens and several buttons appear ON the Image to the right side -> 1. Our aims, 2. What we do, 3. Contacts etc.

Could you help me on pointing some ways to perform that.

Thanks ahead.

I was thinking on the issue. I have an idea i just dont know if it is real.

I added a div to the header.php and added it to style.css trying to make it absolute position on the place where it should be covered by the second image.
The idea was to select z-indexes for bk0 and my new block such that it should be covered under li (bk1) element in order to stay unvisible until the block bk1 moves to the right making my little block visible and accessible.

I know it is pretty inconvenient but this the best i came up by now.

The question is if z-index should work for li elements and my separate new block?

The thing is, I've tried already. Nothing worked. Sliding menu area is a <div> and z-index works only relative to it and NOT to it's <tr> sub-objects.

Moreover, first sliders unwrap to the right where submenues may have appeared and the last sliders unwrap to the left side making it complex to z-place the objects relative to sliders even in theory.

I just wanted to ask you as a creator (if i am right) of these theme or anybody acknowledged about the ways (which languages) to use/learn, scripts to use or what to modify in the theme itself to achieve the result.

tery changing file header.php edit the line <?php slider_menuparse(wp_list_pages('sort_column=ID&depth=1&number=7&title_li=&echo=0')); ?>
Change 'sort_column=ID to 'sort_column=menu

i,

I first downloaded Picture Perfect 1.3.3 in March 2010. I made some changes in the CSS so that the sliding menu down the left side remained at the top of the page when I scrolled down (otherwise you couldn't see the lower menu items). To do this, I edited the page.php file like this:

Changed: fixed to relative
(Which sounds backwards to me, but that's what my notes say, and I'm not well versed in CSS)

I recently moved to a new host, so now I downloaded PP 1.3.3 again, but I can't find where to edit the CSS so that the slider menu remains at the top of the screen. So it appears that the CSS file has been changed since March 2010, but there is no mention of that and I can't even find a changelog.

Any ideas?
